David Basham
Record-breaking engine builder, old-school hot rodder, and land speed racer, David has partnered with Mayeda Motorsports for the better part of two decades. David’s engine building is legendary with many of his gas, diesel, and alcohol engines breaking and holding numerous records at Bonneville, El Mirage, and drag strips around the country. David builds the engine for and pilots a ’32 roadster on the dry lake bed of El Mirage and the salt flat of Bonneville. Mayeda Motorsports provides David’s custom driver safety systems.
