Having been around diesel engines his whole life (his dad started Deutsch’s Truck and Diesel Repair when he was 2 years old), Brett is the current record holder for a street legal diesel-powered drag truck. The 1969 C10 that his grandpa gave him, now fitted with an insanely powerful Duramax diesel, is a low-8-second ET quarter mile drag truck (early testing of a new Duramax combo should push the C10 deep into the 7s), has steadily gone quicker and faster over the years with Mayeda Motorsports providing Brett’s custom driver and race truck safety systems. Brett, a Chicago, IL suburb native has been tearing up the diesel drag race scene in the Midwest. Look for that monumental 7-second ET pass soon.
